Exposing The Terror Ties of
Students for Justice in Palestine
Responding to the recently released report by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA) think tank exposing the terror affiliations of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), CAMERA's International Campus Director Aviva Slomich praised the report as a tool for students that needs to be shared widely.
“This report is something that should be brought to university administrations when there are incidences of aggressive, problematic SJP chapters and even beforehand, when [colleges are] thinking of starting an SJP chapter,” she said. “It will help explain to the administration and professors on campus why SJP is such a problem.”
Former Assad Spokesman & Chikindas Praised by
Following the news of the professor's antisemitism, Campus Coordinator Ben Suster visited Rutgers campus to counsel the students of CAMERA-supported group Scarlet Knights for Israel and CAMERA Fellow Miriam Waghalter on how to respond to the incident.
Last month, we shared that Miriam and Scarlet Knights for Israel were fighting hard at Rutgers to ensure that Professor Michael Chikindas would be punished for sharing antisemitic posts on Facebook.
Since then, UN Watch exposed Rutgers political science Professor Mazen Adi for his former role as spokesman for the Assad regime and his speech at the UN where he accused Israel of organ trafficking. Our students also called for Adi and Chikindas to be fired in The Algemeiner.
We are extremely disappointed that Rutgers President Barchi has defended these professors since their antisemitism was exposed, and even went so far as to praise them for their academic work.
We are working closely on this with our students and Rutgers Hillel.

"By tokenizing its Jewishness, JVP undermines and even shames fellow Jews who do not share its opinions. This incident is a part of JVP’s strategic efforts to stymie meaningful dialogue and target those who do not share its view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict."
